Varyin Parham has performed and taught workshops at numerous events, festivals and night clubs throughout the Pacific Northwest. She is a natural performer that took quickly to belly dance in 1997 with master instructors Zaphara and Saqra. After receiving her Instructors Certificate in 2008, she moved from Seattle to the Long Beach Peninsula and right away started teaching belly dance at the River City School of Arts & Crafts, Clatsop Community College, Astoria Arts & Movement Center, and the Peninsula Performing Arts Center. Since then she has established Beach Belly Dance and Arts Studio and is the driving force and inspiration behind the Beach Belly Dance Festival held every August at the Painted Lady Lavender Farm in Ilwaco.
Varyin is the choreographer and director of the Beach Bellies Dance Troupe and performs both with the troupe and solo at venues like Ocean Park’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July Parade, KMUN Farm Stock, Fort George’s Dark Arts Festival, Himani Indian Restaurant, T. Paul’s Supper Club, The Farmers Markets in Ilwaco and Astoria, and Ilwaco High School’s Prom 2013.
